The Rumba Box is perfected and ready to go. I have just uploaded the images and sound clips to our main site on the Rumba Box page.

We have been giving the Rumba Box a coat of paint and a tropical motif.

And if I do say so myself. It's looking really good.

We might make a matching cajon.

Frenchman's Bay

We have been making more recording with the Rumba Box.

This one is called Frenchman's Bay. The FN Flamenco cajon is in there and also a jar of screws. I like the sound of the screws and I think they will be a feature in the next Rumba Box video.

A more melodic side to the Rumba Box.

We tuned it to C today and tried a slower more melodic tune. The Rumba Box is accompanied by a cajon, shaker and tub of screws, Acoustic and electric guitars.

We recorded two tracks from the internal bass drum mic and the condenser mic outside. The result is a mix of the two.

Another Rumba Box tune recorded in the yard. This one is sly mongoose a very old mento song.
